Subjects and structure 

The Multimedia Design and Communication programme is a two-year full-time higher study programme (120 ECTS) divided into four semesters including the opportunity of a study period in a company.

The first three semesters are based on compulsory subjects The compulsory part includes interdisciplinary work with subjects such as: 

  • communication theory
  • innovation
  • system and interaction design
  • quality assurance
  • graphic design and image appreciation
  • audio/video
  • 3D and animation
  • media integration
  • aesthetics
  • marketing and media selection
  • social developments
  • pedagogy
  • journalism
  • economics
  • IT systems

The compulsory part is divided into four main areas:

- Business Studies and Project Management
- Communication and Dissemination
- Visualisation and Concept Development
- Interaction Development

.In the fourth semester you will have a three month Intern Ship in a Danish or foreign company (after your choosing). You will have to find the Intern Ship yourself, but we will off course assist you.

The studies are completed with a final exam project where you address a specific task related to the multimedia area. The project can be completed in connection with the Intern Ship and is often based on a specific problem in the company.
