Registration day for international students

On 6 September more than 50 international students from Tietgen Business College and SDE College, which are both part of Lillebaelt Academy, came to get formally registered as students in Denmark.

To make it easier for the new EU-students to get registered correctly by the authorities Tietgen Business College had invited ‘Statsforvaltningen’ - The regional state administrations as well as ‘SKAT’ - The Danish Tax and Customs Administration to a joint registration set-up.

The students had brought their passports and admission letters along with other documentation and had to state that they are financially independent in order to get an EU residence permit.

When they have obtained the EU residence permit the next step is to go to the National Register of Persons and get a social security number which entitles them to get the national health service medical card, to open a bank account and to get a tax card.

Now that the international students are formally registered they can focus on the two coming years of studies in Denmark.

Welcome to all new international students at Tietgen Business College!
