The graduates and their families and friends were welcomed by Principal Jette Mølholm. In her speech she urged the graduates to perform well in the business world and to bring changes and variety to it. Head of department Susanne Bækholm incited the students to keep in touch with the college whether they are going back to their home country or staying in Denmark.
Many of the graduates have chosen to continue their studies in Denmark, for example at Tietgen Business College at the 1½ year BA top-up in International Sales and Marketing.
For the sake of the international students the graduation speeches were held partly in English and Danish. However, the international students had a good chance to understand it all as they have achieved such good proficiencies in Danish during their stay.
Then it was time for the graduates to receive their diplomas as a proof of their two years of studies and the students were called on to the stage one by one.
The Business world was represented at the graduation and awarded two students with grants. Managing director Jytte Reinholdt from the local business organisation Fynsk Erhverv handed out a grant to Klaus A. Dyhre who had achieved the highest grade point average (11,4).
Then Peter Zinck, chairman of the board of directors of Tietgen Business College, awarded Carina Georgi with The Tietgen Jubilee grant of 25.000 DKK for her further studies in the UK.
Furthermore several graduates from the Marketing Management programme received gifts from the college in appreciation of their commitment to their studies and for a good relationship to their fellow students.
Congratulations to all Marketing Management/Markedsføringsøkonom graduates 2010!
