Things to do and places to go
Before going abroad:
- Make academic agreements with your home co-ordinator (about courses, credit transfer, etc.)
Exchange students must return:
- Application form and various other documents to the receiving institution.
- Application form for accommodation.
Stays shorter than 3 months:
- Apply for visa (if you are not from one of the Nordic countries or the EU).
- Bring traveler's cheques or enough cash to support your stay.
Stays longer than 3 months:
- Apply for and obtain a residence permit before going to Denmark.
Take out insurance (health, third liability, and travel/ luggage insurance).
Upon Arrival:
- If you are an EU citizen and you have not applied for a residence permit from your home country, go to 'Statsforvaltningen' to do so now.
- Go to the National Register to be registered and receive a cpr-number. Bring your passport and residence permit.
- Pay deposit and rent for the first month.
After:
- Leave your home address at the institution you were enrolled in so they can send your certificate or diploma.
